Pastor urges Nigerians to pray for Buhari, other leaders

Nigerians  have been warned to pray for all their leaders, including President Muhammadu Buhari or else they sin against God and risk His wrathas the government says it is working hard to reverse economic recession.According to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Pastor Raphael Sunday of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre, Lafia, Nasarawa state, chances of corruption level increasing is high in the current harsh economy and Nigerians should pray for their leaders.President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders need prayers solve Nigeria’s economic situation.Sunday said in his sermon entitled “Exaltation and Elevation by Righteousness’’ that“The Bible admonishes us to always pray for our leaders and so anything short of that will be considered as sin before God.’’He added that it is through faithfulness, righteousness and prayer that the country could overcome its current challenges.Pastor Raphael Sunday says not praying for Buhari and other leaders is a sinbefore God.“In this season, the tendency to compromise and give in to the antics of the devil is very high.“However, as Christians and Nigerians, we need to be more faithful now than ever for God to hear our prayer and heal our land of all forms of challenges,’’NAN quoted him as saying.The cleric also told Christians to avoid criticizing leaders, instead they shouldsupport and pray for them to succeed in their duty of governing the country.To know more about how Nigerian government is tackling the economic recessionRead President Buhari’s powerful Eid El-Kabir message to Nigerians.See photos below
